LIV Center for Adaptive Health
Terms of Use
Effective October 26, 2026 · livadaptivehealth.com
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of livadaptivehealth.com (the "Site"), operated by LIV Center for Adaptive Health ("LIV," "we," "us"), based in Marquette, Michigan. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What LIV provides
LIV provides adaptive-health resource navigation, education, professional connections, listings in the LIV Adaptive Health Network, organizational partnerships and nonclinical professional services.
LIV does not currently provide medical care, psychotherapy, counseling, physical or occupational therapy, rehabilitation treatment or other clinical services.
These Terms cover the Site and LIV's current nonclinical services. Any future clinical services would be governed by separate agreements, notices and consents.
2. General information, not medical advice
LIV makes reasonable efforts to provide useful, current information. Everything on the Site — including guides, resource listings, professional and organization profiles, activity and equipment information, and funding information — is general information. It is not diagnosis or treatment and does not replace the judgment of your own healthcare providers. Talk with a qualified healthcare professional about your health, your care, and whether an activity, program or piece of equipment is right for you.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). In an emergency, call 911. The Site and its forms are not monitored for urgent needs.
3. Relationships at LIV
- LIV Network Professionals. Independent professionals who created a profile and were approved by LIV. They are not LIV employees or contractors, do not practice through LIV, and are not clinically endorsed by LIV. They are solely responsible for the services they provide.
- LIV Partners. Organizations or companies with a formal paid or strategic relationship with LIV. Partnerships are disclosed.
- LIV Resources. Informational listings LIV creates from publicly available information about organizations, programs and public resources. A LIV Resource listing does not mean the organization has joined, partnered with, endorsed or reviewed LIV or the listing.
- LIV Clinical Team. Reserved for professionals who may in the future provide clinical services through LIV. No one is currently a member of a LIV Clinical Team.
4. Listings, profiles and LIV review
LIV may review information submitted by professionals and organizations and may check certain information against publicly available sources, including applicable professional licensure. LIV Resource listings are based on public information available when LIV checked it. LIV's review is limited in scope and reflects information available at the time of review.
Review or listing is not a clinical endorsement, a guarantee of quality, a guarantee of outcomes, or a determination that a professional, program or resource is appropriate for any particular person. You are responsible for evaluating any professional, program, resource or product you choose to contact or use.
Useful resources do not have to pay LIV to be included. Partnership never purchases LIV's recommendation: paid relationships are disclosed, free resources remain eligible regardless of partnership status, and payment never determines search ranking. LIV may decline or remove any listing that does not meet its standards. Organizations may ask LIV to correct or remove a LIV Resource listing at any time.
5. Profiles and submissions
Independent professionals may join the LIV Adaptive Health Network free of charge by creating an account and building their own profile. Organizations, programs and members of the public may submit resources, recommendations and inquiries.
When you submit information or materials, you represent that:
- the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- where applicable, you are authorized to submit it on behalf of the professional or organization described; and
- you have the rights and permissions needed for any logos, photographs, descriptions and other materials you submit.
You give LIV permission to review submitted content, edit it for reasonable clarity and formatting, and publish approved public-profile content. This permission continues while the listing or profile is published and afterward for reasonable administrative and archival purposes. You keep ownership of your logo and original content.
Submitting a profile, resource or inquiry does not guarantee approval, publication or a response. Please do not submit medical records, diagnoses or sensitive health information through Site forms.
6. Accounts
Accounts are for independent professionals and organizations; individuals and families never need an account to use LIV. If you create one, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it current, keep your password secure, not share your account, be responsible for activity under your account, and tell us promptly at livadaptivehealth@gmail.com if you believe your account has been used without permission. We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or LIV's participation standards.
7. Paid organization partnerships
- Subscriptions. Paid partnerships are monthly subscriptions billed automatically through Stripe at the rate shown when you enroll, and renew each billing period until cancelled.
- Review is separate from payment. Payment does not automatically publish a profile. Every organization is reviewed by LIV before its profile goes live.
- If an organization is not approved. If LIV does not approve an organization for participation, LIV will cancel the subscription and refund any partnership subscription payment collected for a period in which partnership benefits were not provided.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellation stops future charges, and partnership benefits continue through the end of the current paid billing period.
- When a paid partnership ends. Partner labels, partner recognition, partner activity reports and other partnership benefits end when the paid period ends. An organization that continues to meet LIV's participation and resource standards remains eligible for a free listing. LIV does not remove a useful organization because it stops paying.
- Founding rate. Approved Founding LIV Partners retain their founding monthly rate while their membership remains continuously active. If a Founding membership is cancelled or lapses, any later enrollment is subject to the then-current rate.
- Standard pricing. LIV may change standard pricing with reasonable advance notice to affected subscribers.
- No guarantees. A paid partnership does not purchase clinical endorsement, professional approval, preferential professional judgment, guaranteed referrals, patients or revenue, or search ranking.
- Membership terms. Membership terms presented at enrollment also apply. If they conflict with these Terms on a partnership matter, the membership terms control.
8. Professional services
LIV's project services, such as resource system, education and program design projects, are nonclinical. Prices shown on the Site are starting points; scope, deliverables and fees are confirmed in a separate written agreement.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose or to harm others;
- submit false, misleading or impersonating information;
- submit content that is harassing, discriminatory, defamatory or infringes someone else's rights;
- scrape, harvest or extract Site content or listings by automated means, or use bots or crawlers to copy LIV's database, without LIV's written permission;
- collect professional or listing information for spam, resale or commercial marketing;
- attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorized to access, circumvent access or security controls, or interfere with the Site's operation; or
- use the Site to send unsolicited advertising.
Ordinary indexing by legitimate search engines, and other uses LIV expressly authorizes, are permitted.
10. Intellectual property and sharing
The Site and its content — including the LIV name, logo, taglines, design, photographs, guides and text — belong to LIV or its licensors.
Sharing is welcome. Anyone, including healthcare professionals, educators, rehabilitation professionals and community organizations, may share links to publicly available LIV pages and resources with patients, clients, families, students or the people they serve for informational purposes.
Without LIV's written permission, you may not alter LIV content and present it as LIV's unchanged work, republish substantial LIV content as your own, sell LIV content, or use LIV's name or logo to imply endorsement or affiliation.
11. Outside websites and resources
The Site links to independent professionals, organizations, programs, products and websites that LIV does not control. LIV is not responsible for their content, services, products, availability or privacy practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.
12. Disclaimers
LIV makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and current information, but resources, programs, funding opportunities, professional information, availability, websites and other third-party information can change. LIV cannot guarantee that all information will remain complete, current or available.
To the extent permitted by law, the Site is provided "as is" and "as available," and LIV disclaims implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LIV and its founder, team members, advisors and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for losses arising from services, programs, products or advice provided by any professional, organization or third party you find through the Site.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LIV's total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid LIV in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
If you submit content that violates these Terms or misuse the Site, you agree to be responsible for, and to reimburse LIV for, reasonable losses and expenses that LIV incurs as a direct result.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with an updated effective date. Material changes affecting paid partnerships will be communicated to affected partners as appropriate. Changes do not retroactively alter payment obligations or other rights already accrued.
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in an appropriate court located in Michigan.
17. Privacy
The LIV Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected through the Site.
