LIV Center for Adaptive Health
Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026 · livadaptivehealth.com
1. Who we are
LIV Center for Adaptive Health ("LIV," "we," "us") is based in Marquette, Michigan. Through livadaptivehealth.com (the "Site"), LIV provides adaptive-health resource navigation, education, professional connections, listings in the LIV Adaptive Health Network, organizational partnerships and nonclinical professional services.
LIV does not currently provide medical care, psychotherapy, counseling, rehabilitation treatment or any other clinical service.
The Site is a public resource and information service. It is not a clinical system or a patient-record system. This Privacy Policy covers the Site and LIV's current nonclinical operations. Any future clinical services would be covered by separate notices and agreements.
2. Where LIV operates
The Site is operated from the United States and is currently designed primarily for people and organizations in Michigan and elsewhere in the United States.
3. Please don't send us health information
LIV's public resource-navigation tools do not require diagnoses, medical records or detailed health information, and our forms are designed not to ask for them.
Please do not include medical records, diagnoses or sensitive health information in forms or messages on the Site.
If you submit health information despite this request, LIV may receive it through its ordinary website systems. Please do not use the Site to transmit information you consider sensitive or confidential.
4. Information we collect
Forms and inquiries.
When you use one of the Site's forms — such as an organization or program submission, a resource submission, a LIV for Healthcare or project inquiry, a brand partnership inquiry, a contribution offer, a recommendation, or an accessibility or administrative message — we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that can include your name, email address, organization, role, region, website, service details and your message.
Saved searches.
When a search on the Site finds no match, you can choose to save it. We record the type of resource you were looking for, the filters you used and, if you choose, a region and who the resource is for. Providing an email address is optional; if you provide it, LIV uses it to notify you when a relevant match is added. Providing an email does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Individual professional accounts (LIV Adaptive Health Network).
Independent professionals join the Network free of charge by creating an account with an email address and password and building their own profile. We collect the profile details they enter — such as name, professional title, profession, credentials, licensure information (including license type, number and issuing state), services, ages and populations served, regions, telehealth availability, website and public contact details. LIV reviews each profile, may check licensure and credentials against publicly available sources, and publishes approved profiles. License numbers are used for review and are not displayed publicly. Routine edits to a published profile appear right away; changes to identity, credential or licensure details are reviewed again before they appear.
Organization accounts and paid partnerships.
Organizations that enroll in a paid LIV partnership create an account with an email address and password. We collect the organization's name, contact name and contact email, optionally a phone number and website, and the version and date of the partnership terms the organization agreed to. Partners build their own public profile — for example, organization name, logo, description, offerings, ages and regions served, accessibility information, credentials where applicable, an optional photo, website and public contact details. A profile becomes public only after LIV approves it. Routine edits to a published profile appear right away; changes to the organization's name, credentials or website are reviewed again first. Logos and photos are kept in private storage and are displayed publicly only once the profile is live.
Information from public sources.
To make LIV useful, we gather publicly available information about organizations, programs and professionals from their own websites and other official public sources — such as names, program descriptions, locations, services, ages served, websites and published contact details. We use it to (a) publish clearly labeled informational "LIV Resource" listings for organizations, programs and public resources, and (b) send a small number of personal invitations inviting organizations to confirm a free listing or professionals to create a free profile. LIV Resource listings show where the information came from and state that the organization has not joined, partnered with or endorsed LIV. We do not create public listings for individual professionals without their participation.
Payment information.
Paid partnerships are processed by Stripe. Card and bank details are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form; LIV does not receive or store full card numbers. We receive and store limited billing records from Stripe, such as a customer reference, subscription plan, subscription status and billing-period dates.
Site usage measurements.
LIV records a limited set of events about how the Site is used — such as a page view, a click on one of the Site's pathways, a directory search and how many results it found, a saved search, a sign-up or enrollment step, or a click to an outside website. Each event record contains the event type, the page address on our Site, a short label or the search filters chosen (for example, the category, region or age group searched, or the outside website's domain), the domain of the website that referred you (not the full address), a general device type (phone, tablet or computer), a random anonymous visitor identifier and visit identifier (described below), and the time. These records do not include your name, email address, IP address, precise location or the text of any message. We use them only in aggregate — for example, to count visits, understand which resources people look for, and find searches that return no results so LIV can add missing resources. We do not use them to build profiles of individuals, we do not sell them, and we never use search behavior for advertising.
Technical information.
Like most websites, the providers that host and deliver the Site may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and device information to deliver pages, keep the Site secure and diagnose problems.
Browser storage and cookies.
If you sign in to an account, your browser stores sign-in session information so you stay signed in. The Site may also briefly store the page you were trying to reach, or an invitation code you followed, so it can complete what you started. To count visits and returning visitors without identifying anyone, the Site stores a randomly generated anonymous identifier in your browser's local storage and a separate visit identifier that resets after 30 minutes of inactivity. These identifiers are not linked to your name, email or account, and you can remove them at any time by clearing your browser's site data. LIV's own Site code does not set advertising cookies. Third-party services described in this policy, such as Stripe, may use their own cookies or similar technologies.
Fonts.
The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.
5. How we use information
We use information to:
- respond to your inquiry or submission and route it within LIV;
- review and publish professional and organization profiles and LIV Resource listings;
- create and manage accounts and partnership subscriptions;
- send account and service emails, such as email confirmation, password resets, approval notices and saved-search match notices;
- send limited invitations to organizations and professionals, as described above, and honor requests to stop them;
- understand which resources people look for and cannot find, so we can decide what to add next;
- give organization partners with an active paid partnership activity reports about their own published profiles;
- keep the Site secure, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use information you submit for advertising.
6. What is public
Form submissions, saved searches and recommendations are not published. For approved Network professionals and organizations, the profile details intended for public display are published on the Site. LIV Resource listings show public information about organizations and programs. Paid partnerships are disclosed on the partner's profile while the paid partnership is active; when a paid partnership ends, an organization that still meets LIV's standards may remain listed without the paid label.
7. Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers to operate the Site. They process information on our behalf:
- website hosting, database, authentication, file storage and email infrastructure providers (currently provided through Lovable and its infrastructure providers);
- Stripe, for payment processing and billing;
- Google, for Google Fonts, for Google Search Console (aggregate search performance), and for LIV's Gmail account, which LIV uses to send invitations and correspond with people who contact us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety or property of LIV or others, or in connection with a reorganization, merger or transfer of LIV's operations, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.
8. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
- Inquiries and submissions — as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of our communications.
- Saved searches — while they remain useful for notifying you and for planning; afterward they may be deleted or kept without the email address.
- Accounts, profiles and billing records — for the life of the account and afterward as needed for legal, tax, accounting and dispute purposes.
- Public-source research and invitation records — while relevant to LIV's listings and outreach. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep a minimal record (such as your email address) so we can honor that request.
- Site usage measurements — as long as reasonably necessary for site operation, planning and reporting, after which they may be deleted or kept in aggregated or de-identified form.
9. Your choices
- Optional information. Fields marked optional, including the email on a saved search, can be left blank.
- Access, correction and deletion. You can ask us to show you, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing livadaptivehealth@gmail.com. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.
- Your profile. Professionals and organizations with accounts can update their profiles from their account. Partners can manage or cancel their subscription from their billing page.
- LIV Resource listings. An organization can confirm, correct or ask us to remove its informational listing using the link on the listing or by emailing livadaptivehealth@gmail.com.
- Invitations. Every LIV invitation includes a link to stop further invitations. Once you use it, LIV will not send you invitations again.
- Other emails. LIV may still send transactional or service-related communications necessary to operate an account, partnership, application or requested service, including security, billing and account notices.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections, access controls that limit who can read submitted information, private storage for partner images until a profile is approved, and payment handling by Stripe. No website or system is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.
11. Children
The Site is intended to be used by adults, including parents, caregivers and professionals seeking resources for children and teens. LIV does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site. Parents and caregivers may use LIV to find resources for a child, but should not submit a child's personal or health details through Site forms.
12. Outside websites
The Site links to independent professionals, organizations, programs and other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as LIV and the Site change. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date and, for significant changes, take reasonable steps to let account holders know.
